Short Gateaway to Bali

5:02:00 pm

Yes, it's a latepost. (ˇ_ˇ'!l)‎ I've should have post in in January when the holiday vibe was still there.... I just want to make it short, and just said that I had fun when I went back to Indonesia last December. I finally got to go snorkeling again, this time in Nusa Lembongan, and I brought my cute doll with me -- you might have seen it if you follow me on instagram.

my sisters keep saying 'Kimochi' as it's name.

We went around the island for our first day at Nusa Lembongan, and it's where I got most of my sunburn from. T^T I only took pictures in that day though, since the next day I spent it all with snorkeling and packing my stuff up to go back to Bali.

Speaking of snorkeling, I do think I need a gopro camera soon, since I'm planning to go snorkeling again if I go back to Indonesia. (●≧▽≦)♪ Better check the price and all......

Mangrove Forest

Yellow Bridge

Dream Beach - we have lunch here

Mushroom Bay

When we back to Bali, all we did was eat, eat and eat. Basically my sisters wanted to go to the hype restaurants, and for me, of course, taking pictures.

The infamous La Pancha. We didn't have time to visit it in afternoon nor evening, but since we only wanted to eat and check the place, here we go... Food pictures everywhere....

Sisterfields.
Another hype restaurants : checked. The dessert was yummy, but the rest of the meals was so-so in my opinion. It was a bit pricey too.. Strangely, when I came back the second time, I finally realized the food price in Jakarta (and so much higher in Bali) and in Tokyo was the same. The differences was that the food size in Jakarta sometimes smaller that what we have in Japan.

Gusto
It was heaven in the heat of Bali, and the price was affordable. But considering the small place, it's not a nice place for people who wanted to hang out for a long time. But I will make sure to go back here when I go to Bali next time!

I forget the place's name, but their pancakes was so yummy and affordable. They basically sell pancake, the location is in front of Kuta Beach.. Anyone knows? Please leave me a comment below. :)

I will miss this kind of time for maybe a year before I'm allowed to go back again, specially where we can go together like this. Anyway, lately I've been intrigued by the LGBT issues in Indonesia. I wonder what the cause to make it such a big issues, and I really wanted to talk about this, but let save it for later.....

See you again soon!

[Recipe] Minced Chicken with Veggies

11:54:00 pm

Hi! As I promised on my instagram, I update my blog again!
This time is for my own food recipe! \(≧∇≦)/ Yeay!

Okay. You have to know that all the food I made were the product of my curiousity.
I don't see the recipe book since I was too lazy to buy and read one.
I just try it out, but so far they tasted good.

This time I made a minced chicken with veggies.
Enjoy~ (◦ˆ⌣ˆ◦)•.♥.•

◦ ◦ ◦

What you need:
• Oyster sauce
• Garlic (mine is the one in yellow bottle)
• Mixed veggies
• Minced chicken

◦ ◦ ◦

How to make:
 1. Put the minced chicken and minced garlic into the frying pan.
Add a tea spoon of oyster sauce.
Don't add any oil.
Set the temperature into medium, and mix them together.

2. While waiting for the meat to be cooked, wash your mixed veggies.

3. Put the mixed vegetables into the frying pan and mixed them together.
Don't forget to taste your own cooking.
If it's not perfect, you can add a little bit of oyster sauce.
Mix them and close the frying pan for a minute.

 4. Aaaannnnddd~ It's done!
いただきます! (ˆڡˆ)

Simple, isn't it? (•ˆ_ˆ•)

This time I didn't add any dressing, just pour myself a veggies-fruits juice to accompany the lonely food.
Try it yourself and don't forget to share your result with me!

I'll be waiting! :D

See you again soon!

[Recipe] Chicken Veggie

3:00:00 pm

Hello again! How are you guys? This time I'm gonna share my simple recipe.

Yeah, recipe!
Since I live by myself -no maids to cook for me-, I need to improve my cooking skill.
I also want to maintain my healthy lifestyle and at the same time, I need to save more money.
That's why everyday I try to cook something new.

I can't really cook, so I only make a simple dish for myself.
This way, you can try to make it for yourself at home! ;D

I called it Chicken Veggie.

What you need:

⊙ utilities ⊙
- frying pan
- spatula

⊙ seasoning ⊙
- oil
- garlic
- bbq sauce / oyster sauce / anything you like but it has to be soy-sauce kind of type.
- salt (optional)
- chili sauce / chili powder

Oil - Oyster Sauce - Mince Garlic - Chili Powder

⊙ ingredients ⊙
- rice
- chicken (non bones)
- veggies you like (carrots, tauge, mushroom, cabbage).

Notes:
In Japan, they sell mix veggies for 2-3 people portion, so I usually buy that kind of mix veggies.
They have a lot of mix veggies type to choose.
If your market doesn't have mix veggies, you can buy them seperately and cut them by yourself.

Let's begin~  εεε==╭(^▽^)╯♬♬

1. Put a little bit of salt, bbq sauce and chili sauce on the raw chicken and mix them together. Leave them for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cut and rinse your veggies. How much chili sauce/powder you put is depend on how much you like spicy food.

2. Put your pan on the stove and pour a little bit of oil. Turn on the stove and put some slice garlic (in my case, it's mince garlic).

3. After the garlic turned a little bit yellowish to brownish, put the now-seasoned chicken into the pan. Lower the heat into medium. Flip the chicken to see if it was done or not. The meat will turn white not pinkish anymore.

4. After you done flip all the chicken, put a little bit of bbq sauce and half cup of water. Mix them together. Increase the fire level a little bit until you can see the chicken sizzle. After that, cover the pan and wait for 3 minutes. The chicken will be a nice golden color.

5. After 3 minutes, open the pan and throw all the veggies in. Mix them together and cover the pan for another 2-3 minutes.

6. Turn off the stove and open the pan.
Aaaannnndddd, it's done!

So, what do you think? If you wonder why I didn't go details on all the seasoning things, it's because I just put them all without calculating the exact number/gram. If I think it's lack something, I will put a little bit of sauce -just a little bit and taste. Repeat the action until you find it right.-

Goodluck!
If you tried this, please share your experiences with me! :D

See you again soon!

Adjusting well

5:06:00 pm

Hello, everyone! It's saturday already. How's your weekend?
Mine was pretty exciting. My housemate hold a halloween party today, and everyone have to bring their own food and drinks to share. :) I'm going to pop some popcorn tonight.

Anyway, it's my third week here, and i'm adjusting pretty well. Everyone in the house are kind and pretty helpful. I'm glad to choose sharehouse instead of apartment. LOL~

All this time, I've been trying to save up some money so I've been cooking every morning. If you follow me in instagram or happened to befriend me on path, you will see everyday I post my brunch menu. (∩_∩) They're pretty simple and easy to make, and really help me to save some money.

Chicken and veggie

Fish and veggie

Oglio pasta with ham

Lapchiong, egg (should be sunny side up but i'm failed), and veggie.

If you realized something, I always add some veggies in all my food (except the pasta). Yeah, I'm trying to maintain my healthy diet here so I've been craving some fruits and veggies everyday. By the way, do you want the recipe? It's easy to make and won't take too much time to make. Just comment if you want the recipe. :D

The last thing is, I didn't bring my camera nor my tripod to Japan, so I couldn't take outfit photos. I'm really sorry about this. I will search for camera soon, so please be patient. Anyway, I have to go now to prepare the party, so I will see you soon! :D

And please don't forget to follow me at instagram - @anasgch027 (the banner is in the blog) for daily update about my life in Japan. Search the hashtag #anlifeinjapan. cafe

[Review] Moena Cafe

11:49:00 am

The first thing that caught my eyes when i entered the cafe was the ALOHA greetings board on their cashier table. (∩_∩) With white walls and colorful decoration, the cafe looks so cheerful.

But not only that, the staffs was friendly and most of them can speak english pretty well.

Before we go to the decoration, let's begin from the outside decoration of the cafe. \(≧∇≦)/

They mix the modern and hawaiian theme together, to create a colorful cafe with cozy ambiance.

They also have a souvenir corner too.. :)

With toilet inside the cafe, you don't have to be afraid to search for one when you needed it, specially after all the time you spent on shopping. (• ˆ⌣ˆ •)

The cafe has two floor. I didn't see the second floor since i was sitting on the first floor. They also have veranda seating on the first floor, for costumer who smoking.

Not only they have cozy ambiance and friendly staff, they also serve delicious food ‎°\(^▿^)/°
They provided english, korean, and some other language menu. So you don't have to understand japanese to eat here. :D

As for the price, i think it's reasonable for a cafe, specially with the big portion and delicious taste. It's all worthed.

They sell pancake and waffle, but also breakfast and lunch set. ( ˆ⌣ˆ )
Since my sister and i was coming at lunch hour, we ordered breakfast set (for my sister), and their recommended chef lunch set (for me).

Special Loco-Moco Rice

Mine ( ˆ⌣ˆ )
My sister's - Ham Egg Benedict

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you....
If you're muslim, please ask first, whether the food have pig inside or not, because mine and my sister's had pig served on the food.

If you're not bothered by that, it's heaven! ;D
